About the workshop
We will be using the “direct carving” technique, the same technique as once used by the artisans of the Alhambra palaces. All this can be completed from home.
What do we do?
1) The participants will first stamp a geometric pattern on a plaster tile.
2) Then they will engrave the piece with an engraving tool. Once the initial shape has been cut away, the student will then add texture or a personalized pattern.
3) Once the engraving work has been finished, we will then start on the aged affect of the plaster tile.
Who´s for?
Become an apprentice craftsman of the Alhambra! No prior artistic knowledge is required, as our craftsman will guide you through the whole process.
How does it work?
Once you have confirmed the reservation by a 30% deposit you will reveive:
– by courrier : Craft Pack with all the necessary materials + 1 authentic Andalusian plasterwork gift made by our artisans,
– in your email: Parcel Tracking + link and details on how to join.
The remaining 70% due will be paid 3 days AFTER THE ACTIVITY is carried out.
Note: few days before the activity we will test the connection and the equipment (computers, webcam, audio,…).
On the day of the workshop
Our craftman, will be on hand throughout to guide you all participants through the processes step by step, show you examples to inspire your makes and everyone can have a chat with him.
